2024 UNDERWATER CARNIVAL RIDE WITH JENNIFER THOMAS

STRAWBYR Films collaborated with world renown award winning pianist and composer Jennifer Thomas for the release of her film UNDERWATER CARNIVAL RIDE for her album Oceans recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London. Technically this is a Jennifer Thomas Film and not a STRAWBYR film, but STRAWBYR was involved in the editing of the dance sequences of this film and stars Katy Nelson, CEO of STRAWBYR Films and strawbyr fashion and Artistic Director of KATY HAGELIN dance project [follow @katynelsonballet on instagram for more info]. The film was created for Track 3 of the new album and was produced, directed and edited by Jennifer Thomas. Music score was created and played by pianist and composer Jennifer Thomas. Recorded at Abbey Roads Studios in London. The score won Hollywoods Independent Music Awards. Filmed by Will Thomas. Dance sequences were choreographed by Noah Long. This epic album and this particular film was released June 6, 2024. It won the 2024 Cannes Independent Short Films Award, was officially selected and won the Experimental, Dance & Music Film Festival 2024 and also won the Castle Films & Media award in Italy. STRAWBYR Films collaborated with KATY HAGELIN dance project in film Within A Dream released 2020. Filmed with SFPhotography and STRAWBYR Films, it was created, edited and music composed by Katy Nelson. Starring Katy Nelson and Victoria Gutierrez, the film takes place in front of the Field Arts & Events Hall in Port Angeles as it was first being built 3 years before it opened in 2023. STRAWBYR Films collaborated and had involvement with world renown award-winning composing artist Jennifer Thomas and KATY HAGELIN dance project Company in the film Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy for Jennifer Thomas’ Christmas album 2016. It was produced by Jennifer Thomas and Becky McNeal, Directed by Ryan K. McNeal, Cinematography by Auden Bui, Edited by Alex ‘Splice’ Jones, Drone Film by Will Thomas, concept and story by Jennifer Thomas, Choreography and staging by Katy Nelson, Starring Carolynne May Guinup, Joel Myers and KHDP Company. Film has 1.4 million views and has two versions; one released on YouTube 2016 and one released on Facebook a year later. Technically a Jennifer Thomas Film (not a STRAWBYR media film but it helped to inspire its beginnings). [Click on photo to link to film]
